It's been eight years since The Jinx premiered on HBO and instantly became a cult sensation, thanks to its gripping storytelling (and twist ending). And now, the second half of the story is heading to your television screen.

HBO just announced that the next installment, The Jinx: Part Two, will be released in 2024 on Max. The series (which is currently in production) will be a continuation of Robert Durst’s story, and it will consist of six jaw-dropping episodes.

The original show, titled The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst, premiered in 2015, and it exposed details of some of the most notorious unsolved crimes in New York history. Warning: Spoilers from the OG series ahead. The documentary follows filmmakers as they launch a decades-long investigation into billionaire Robert Durst.

After years of interviews, stakeouts and research, Durst was finally arrested for his suspected crimes. The finale ends on a spine-tingling note, with Durst finally confessing to the murders, saying, “Killed them all, of course.” Part Two will pick up where the first half ends.

The Jinx was nominated for six—we repeat, six—Primetime Emmy Awards, and it took home two wins for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series and Outstanding Picture Editing for Nonfiction Programming.

The Jinx: Part Two will be directed by Andrew Jarecki (Catfish). He will also serve as an executive producer alongside Zac Stuart-Pontier (The Ballad of Billy Balls) and Kyle Martin (Descendant).

We. Can’t. Wait.
