*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

School is back in session!

The fourth and final season of Netflix’s Sex Education is set to premiere on September 21. And while Otis (Asa Butterfield), Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and the rest of the students at Moordale Secondary School are preparing for the new school year, they must come to terms with their newfound home: the Cavendish Sixth Form College. You see, Moordale Secondary School had no choice but to close its doors after investors pulled their money from the school’s budget. And as a result, the students are relocating to a new school that couldn’t be more different than their alma mater. (Moordale was hailed as the “sex school” after all.)

Fans of the critically acclaimed series (which has a whopping 95 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes) are desperate to see how it all ends. And after watching that explosive season three finale from start to finish, viewers are hoping (no, praying) that all of their burning questions will be answered in the final installment. So, is there a future for Otis and Maeve? Will Eric and Adam ever get back together? Keep scrolling for five questions we want answered in Sex Education season four.

Otis and Maeve CAT

1. Will Otis and Maeve Finally Get Together?

The BIGGEST question of all. Throughout the entire series, there has been an endless cycle of will they or won’t they between Otis (Butterfield) and Maeve (Emma Mackey). And by the end of season three, they finally share their first kiss. However, their new romance is put on pause when Maueve tells Otis that she is leaving England to study abroad in America. While Otis couldn’t be more happy for her, he can’t shake the feeling that this is the end of their relationship. Instead of saying goodbye, Maeve reassures him that they will “see each other soon.” Is there still hope for Maeve and Otis? Or are they done as we know it? We need answers, like now.

2. Who Is the Father of Jean’s Baby?

Throughout season three, Dr. Jean F. Milburn (Gillian Anderson) is trying to come to terms with being an older single mom. When Jean musters up the courage to tell her boyfriend Jakob (Mikael Persbrandt) that she is pregnant, they attempt to give their relationship a second try for the sake of the baby. But in the end, they can’t make their relationship work and eventually break up. In the season three finale,  Jean finally gives birth to her child. But, when she receives the results of the DNA test, her face changes to sheer horror. Judging by her facial expression, Jakob might not be the father. So, if he isn’t…then who is?!

3. Is Moordale Secondary School Closed for Good?

Since Moordale is known as the infamous “sex school,” Headteacher Hope (Jemima Kirke) tries to change the school’s reputation for the better. But her strict rules are met with pushback from the student body of Moordale Secondary School. In the end, the school shuts down, and the students must find another place to enroll in for the new academic year. Still, something tells us that this isn’t the end of Moordale. (*Crosses fingers*)

4. Is There Hope for Eric and Adam?

To say Eric (Gatwa) and Adam (Connor Swindells) had an epic love story is an understatement. From the very beginning of the series, Adam bullies Eric. So, fans are thrown for a whirlwind when Adam proclaims his love for Eric, and they start dating shortly after. They still face several hardships in their relationship—like Adam wanting to keep their relationship a secret, which frustrates Eric. While on a family vacation in Nigeria, Eric meets a boy named Oba, and they share their first kiss while dancing in a club. When he returns home, Eric reveals he cheated and breaks up with Adam. Still, they have a lot of history, so there’s always an opportunity to rekindle their romance.

5. What’s Next for the Students After They Graduate?

Since the fourth season will sadly be the show’s last, we’ve been wondering what life will be like for Otis, Eric, Maeve and the rest of the Moordale Secondary School students once they graduate from high school. The teens have grown so much since season one, and it’s certainly been a wild (yet heartfelt) ride up until this point. And as they prepare for college, there are so many things we still want to know. For example, what will happen to Maeve? And will Otis and Eric maintain their friendship? Regardless of what happens, we’ll be right here cheering them on from the sidelines.

Sex Education season four hits Netflix on September 21.
