Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt Take on a Group of Assassins in Action-Packed ‘Bullet Train’ Trailer

Wait, did we just get a small The Lost City reunion between Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt in the latest trailer for Bullet Train? Why, yes we did.

Earlier this week, Sony Pictures Entertainment released a second teaser for the upcoming action film. Bullock plays the role of Maria Beetle, who is in charge of trained assassin Ladybug (Pitt).

The trailer starts with Maria assigning Ladybug to retrieve a briefcase on board a high-speed train in Japan. But, the plan goes south after a group of assassins learns of his presence on the train and tries to stop him from taking the case.

Based on the best-selling book by Japanese author Kōtarō Isaka, Bullet Train follows five assassins that find themselves on a train from Tokyo to Morioka. Alongside Bullock and Pitt, the star-studded cast includes rapper Bad Bunny, Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass), Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta), Zazie Beetz (Joker) and Joey King (Kissing Booth).

Bullock and Pitt recently worked together on the action-comedy, The Lost City. The Blind Side actress really wanted the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star to join the movie. Her witty solution? She confided in the actor’s hairdresser to sway him and it actually worked.

“Janine Thompson, who has been doing my hair for centuries on films, does his hair. And he asked her to call me and ask me to do him a favor,” she said. “And I called her and said, ‘Since I said yes, can you get in his ear and ask him to do our film?’ And he said yes! There is nothing sexy about it. Hairstylists hold all the power in Hollywood.”

Catch Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt in the new action-thriller Bullet Train, which hits theaters on August 5.
