Ryan Gosling Looks Nearly Unrecognizable as Ken in New ‘Barbie’ Movie

Ryan Gosling’s transformation for the all-new Barbie movie is freakishly accurate. (You’ve been warned.)

Today, Warner Bros. released a first-look photo of the 41-year-old actor as Ken. Gosling nailed everything from the doll’s platinum blonde hair to his orange spray tan. And don’t even get us started on his cut-off jean jacket.

Warner Bros. hasn’t released many details about Barbie, which will be directed and written by Greta Gerwig. However, we do know that Gosling will star alongside Margot Robbie, who will portray the titular character.

Although they make a cute couple, they won’t be the only Barbie and Ken featured in the film. According to Variety, “it’s rumored that several Barbie and Ken characters factor into the plot.”

Other cast members include America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Issa Rae and Michael Cera.

Earlier this year, Liu teased what’s to come in the highly anticipated movie. “I wish I could just show you what we do day-to-day because it’s crazy,” he told GQ. He also gushed over the film’s showrunner, adding, “When you’re doing a scene, and it’s working, you hear, ‘HAHAHAHA!’ It’s the best feeling in the world. If you’re an a**hole on a Greta Gerwig set, there’s no hope for you.”

One thing’s for sure…we can’t unsee this photo of Gosling.
