Attention Gilmore Girls fans: We have some major news. When the popular dramedy series was rebooted by Netflix in 2016 as Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, there were a few major plot twists for our faves from Stars Hollow. But one of the biggest surprises arrived at the very end, when Rory revealed to Lorelai that she was pregnant. However, it was never disclosed *who* exactly the father was...until now. Thanks to costume supervisor Valerie Campbell, we know it's none other than Logan Huntzberger.

The costumer supervisor for A Year in the Life (who also worked as a key set costumer on Gilmore Girls) finally answered the question that's been on fans' minds for years. In a new TikTok video, she said, “Let’s do the math.”

Campbell breaks it down in the clip, saying that the potential fathers at the time were Paul, the Wookie and Logan. In the video, the costumer says “[Rory] definitely wasn't sleeping with [Paul].” And with regards to the Wookie: “She sleeps with the Wookie once, and if it was the Wookie, she would definitely be showing.” But as Campbell notes, “We never gave her a pregnancy belly, and that is very, very important. We never gave her one; we were never instructed to give her one.”

So who does that leave? Logan Huntzberger. “The only obvious choice is—you guessed it—Logan,” Campbell says. She also points out that the show's creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, said: “Why are people even questioning who the father is?” According to Campbell, it was supposed to be obvious to viewers, even though it's never explicitly said on the show.

For fans who have seen A Year in the Life, they likely remember that Rory has an affair with Logan, even though he's engaged when the two reconnect. And for those who have been speculating that Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) was the father, Campbell had a quick shutdown for that idea: “Seriously, guys. It's not an immaculate conception.”

It's been a little over six years since A Year in the Life premiered on Netflix and reunited fans with the Gilmore clan. The 4-episode miniseries received positive reviews from critics, and it wrapped up many plotlines that devoted watchers had felt were left unresolved at the end of the original show's run.

We're glad this has finally been settled. You can stream Gilmore Girls on Netflix and on Amazon Prime.
