Imagine being the best at your job, only to have it wreck your marriage. That’s the wild ride one man is on in Netflix's latest comedy-thriller hit Non Negotiable.

This Mexican film — directed by Juan Taratuto and featuring an all-star cast including Mauricio Ochmann, Leonardo Ortizgris and Tato Alexander — has taken the streaming world by storm, snagging the #8 spot on Netflix’s movie chart after dropping on July 26.

So what’s Non Negotiable all about? Buckle up, because it’s a rollercoaster.

As described by Netflix, Alan Bender, played by Ochmann, is Mexico's go-to guy for hostage negotiations and he's so wrapped up in his job that he's kind of dropped the ball on his family life, which isn't sitting well with his wife, Victoria (Alexander). So, they start going to couples therapy to try and sort things out. But plot twist! Alan discovers that Victoria's got a secret.

Things get even crazier when, during one of their therapy sessions, Alan gets a call: the president of Mexico and his mistress have been kidnapped by a criminal mastermind calling himself Lamb. As if that's not enough, just after Alan rushes off to deal with the situation, Lamb ups the stakes by kidnapping Victoria too.

Now, Alan's got to use all his negotiation skills to resolve the hostage situation. But can he also save his marriage while he's at it? Talk about a high-stakes balancing act.

If Non Negotiable isn’t your style, no worries.  Luckily, the streaming service has a ton of movies and shows to choose from in its top-rated section, which ranks popular titles based on what’s trending. From K-dramas to shows that will have you lusting for a European vacation, there’s something for everyone.
