Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard the unofficial song of summer 2024, ‘Espresso’ by Sabrina Carpenter. If you have the O.G. version playing on repeat, you need to hear Lola Consuelos’s (that’s Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’s daughter, BTW) cover of the popular track.

“In workout lateeee, cause I’m a singerrrr @sabrinacarpenter,” Consuelos wrote in the caption of the Instagram video. “Best song ever also please go stream my new single link in bio.”

Fans flocked to the comments with rave reviews. “Your voice is beautifully unique with a sprinkle of Norah Jones + Amy Winehouse,” wrote one. “Where in the American Idol is Ryan Seacrest? You need an album deal!!!” posted another. “This is better than the original!!!” asserts another follower.

The new single she refers to in the caption is called ‘Roles,’ which is now available for streaming on Spotify. It’s amassed more than 36,000 streams so far. Two other tracks of hers, ‘Paranoia Silverlining’ and ‘Divine Timing,’ (released in 2022 and 2023 respectively) have racked up more than 500,000 streams since they were uploaded.

It appears the 22-year-old singer is especially close with her mom. Back in September, Ripa shared a sweet photo collection on Instagram dedicated to her middle child for National Daughters Day, captioned, "It's #NationalDaughtersDay and today we celebrate @TheYoungestyung. Love you Lola!!!"

Ripa is also super supportive of her music career. She posted a poolside photo of her husband to promote a song of Lola’s last summer. When the track first came out, Ripa shared the single artwork to her account, writing, “She’s here and she’s a summer jam! Congratulations @theyoungestyung you did it...Streaming now on all platforms.”

Is it that sweet? I guess so.
