Kristen Bell Snuck a NSFW Joke into 'Frozen' (and I Definitely Missed it)

Um, what?!

So, it’s been over a decade since Frozen hit theaters back in 2013 (seriously, how?!), and I'm still singing along to "Let It Go" and "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" like it’s day one. The animated film's got that classic Disney magic and a nice PG rating, but Kristen Bell, the voice behind Anna, just dropped a little secret—and honestly, I would've missed it if she hadn't said anything.

Turns out, there’s a sneaky not-so-PG joke hidden in plain sight, and it’s all thanks to Bell. During a Vanity Fair interview, she rewatched the scene where Anna sings “For the First Time in Forever” and belts out the line: “For years I’ve roamed these empty halls / Why have a ballroom with no balls?” Yep, you read that right.

In the video, Bell literally asked, “How did we get that joke in there?” before explaining that the creative team had to seriously downplay the joke's not-so-subtle meaning to keep it Disney-friendly.

“We slid it under the radar,” she said. “It almost didn’t make it in, but then we were like, ‘What are you talking about? That’s not what it means. Don’t be a perv.’” (Iconic, right?)

Cheeky moment aside, The Good Place alum reflected on how special it was to voice a Disney princess—something she’d dreamed of as a kid.

“They’re so formidable in your life when you’re young, and I was obsessed with them,” Bell shared. She even shared that she used to record herself singing The Little Mermaid on her boombox just in case Disney came calling. Manifesting at its finest.

And as for now? Bell is still bringing the laughs.

Most recently, she starred in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This (which already scored a season two) alongside Adam Brody, where, let’s just say, the TV-MA rating meant a whole lot more cheeky jokes.
