Kerry Washington’s husband is a Nigerian-American actor and producer. He’s appeared in several TV shows, like The Game, Friday Night Lights and Leverage. Other film credits include Fire with Fire, Double Negative, Hello, My Name Is Doris and Amazon’s Crown Heights.

2. He's A Uc Berkeley Graduate

Asomugha attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he not only played football, but he also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. NBD.

3. He Used To Play Professional Football

Yes, you read that right. After Asomugha played college football for the California Golden Bears, he was drafted to the NFL in 2003 by the Oakland Raiders. He was later traded to the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers before retiring in 2013.

4. He's Got That Southern Charm

Contrary to popular belief, Asomugha was actually born in Lafayette, Louisiana. His parents, who identify as Igbo, moved to Los Angeles when he was a child, which is where his football career skyrocketed.

5. He Met Kerry Washington Through A Mutual Friend

Asomugha met Washington when he accompanied a mutual friend to her Broadway performance of Race. The pair tied the knot in 2013 and now share two children together: Isabelle (6) and Caleb (3).
