It should come as no surprise that Kelly Clarkson's net worth (which is a cool $50 million BTW) is sky-high. The powerhouse vocalist rose to super-stardom after getting her start as a contestant on American Idol in 2002. And since then, the three-time Grammy winner has released ten albums, headlined over a dozen tours, launched her own talk show and even created a furniture line.

While speaking with Access Hollywood, Clarkson, 41, got candid about balancing her successful career with motherhood and said, "I get so inspired, so I just want to make everything happen. I'm so excited about everything, and it's hard. I don't think time management is my forte, so I have people to help me kind of accomplish that. But there are definitely days where you're a normal mom and you're like, 'Why did I choose to do it all?'"

Fortunately, the proud mom and Jill of All Trades is at the top of her game, and she's set to co-host the opening ceremony at the 2024 Paris Olympics with Peyton Manning and Mike Tirico. But inquiring minds want to know: How exactly did she make her fortune? Keep reading for details on Kelly Clarkson's net worth.

2. How Much Did She Make on The Voice

Celebrity Net Worth estimates that Clarkson, who joined the show as a coach in its fourteenth season, made $560,000 for each episode of The Voice. This equals a total of $14 million per season, but the star likely began with a different starting salary and got a pay upgrade as she continued working on the show.

While speaking with USA Today in 2023, Clarkson opened up about her reason for leaving The Voice after nine seasons. She said, "Full disclosure, I put on a smile a lot of those times, because I was struggling a lot in my personal life. I’ve learned a lot about what I’m capable of handling, and also what you should not handle. That was me saying ‘bye’ to The Voice and having this big move. I love that family, but I was like, ‘I’m struggling. I can’t smile anymore. I don’t feel like smiling.’"

3. How Much Does Clarkson Make on Her Talk Show?

Her earnings from the show haven't been made public, but according to Us Weekly, court documents from Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock's divorce revealed that her monthly salary was $1.9 million in 2021. This total included her talk show and her gig on The Voice.

At the time, a source told the outlet, “Kelly is renegotiating her talk show contract and wants a substantial increase.”

The "Stronger" singer's variety talk show, which premiered in September 2019, earned her seven Daytime Emmy Awards. While discussing the show's success in an interview with Howard Stern, she said, "Honestly, I did not think the TV show was going to do anything. I did not think anything. I literally just made a deal with NBC because I loved doing The Voice, and I literally didn’t think it was going to be what it is."

4. How Much Did She Earn From Her Music & Tours?

Following her victory on American Idol, Clarkson released ten studio albums, sold over 25 million copies worldwide and snagged several accolades, including three Grammys, four American Music Awards and two Academy of Country Music Awards.

While discussing her latest studio album, Chemistry, with NPR, she said, "I kind of gauged which songs were going to make the album with what was already out there, without me having any control—whether it be court documents or whether people knew certain things, or what they thought they knew. So much was public. So I kind of gauged what I would allow people to get involved in. And I picked songs that I felt weren't so exact for me. It could be relatable to many people."

In March 2023, Clarkson announced her Las Vegas residency, Chemistry: An Intimate Evening with Kelly Clarkson, which, according to Billboard, earned her $10 million. The outlet also reported that, so far, she earned a total revenue of $60.7 million from all of her concerts.

These include her highest-grossing Meaning of Life Tour, which made $17.5 million from 28 sold-out shows in 2019. Additionally, her Addicted Tour in 2006 grossed $9.1 million, and her 2004 Breakaway Tour, $9.7 million.

5. What About Her Furniture Collection?

Fun fact: Clarkson made history as Wayfair’s first-ever celebrity brand ambassador. In 2022, the singer launched her own furniture line called Kelly Clarkson Home. It features dining room essentials, kitchen decor, bedding sets and more.

In October 2023, she announced her latest exclusive collection, which was inspired by her own home. She wrote on Instagram, "Are y'all ready for something fun (and cozy)? Say hello to my new Montana Collection by Kelly Clarkson Home at Wayfair. Think: distressed details and sunset hues for just the right amount of rustic."

6. How Much Did Clarkson Make from Her Books?

In addition to being a TV personality, singer, songwriter and brand ambassador, Clarkson is also an author. In 2016, she published her first children's book, River Rose and the Magical Lullaby, which tells the story of a young girl who embarks on a magical adventure after hearing her mom's special lullaby.

While speaking with Publisher's Weekly, Clarkson confirmed that her daughter inspired the picture book. She said, "I wrote the lullaby for River before the book ever existed, and I do sing it to her every night. When I started thinking about putting the stories together, I thought it would be cute to have the lullaby be a sort of magical device—whenever the lullaby appears something magical happens. The whole book was very unexpected yet organic."

In 2017, the artist followed up with River Rose and the Magical Christmas, where River and her dog head off to the North Pole. Clarkson wrote a full song to accompany the holiday-themed book, called "Christmas Eve." She told Harper Children's, “She’s at such a fun age....It’s a fun time for kids and Christmas. And she just gets so excited about it and I thought it would be a fun book for her to get to read.”

Her earnings from book sales are unknown, but her first book debuted at number seven on The New York Times best sellers list for children's picture books.

When Clarkson and Blackstock finalized their divorce in 2022, People confirmed that the singer would pay her ex-husband $1.3 million, as well as $45,600 per month in child support for their two children, River and Remington. Fortunately, her monthly payments ended in January 2024.

A source told Us Weekly, “Kelly is feeling relieved that her spousal support to Brandon has come to an end. She’s been ready for this for a while now and is so happy her payments to Brandon will be complete. It’s so nice knowing that this chapter of her life can close with the new year. Kelly’s looking at this as a fresh start, and she couldn’t be happier for a clean slate in 2024.”

As for their real estate, Kelly transferred a five percent ownership stake of her $17.8 million Montana ranch to Blackstock in 2022. Per USA Today, the documents state, “Brandon’s separate property ownership interest in the Warren Peak Ranch is 5.12%.
