If there’s one thing Jennifer Lopez knows how to do, it’s make an impression. The superstar turned heads at the Toronto International Film Festival yesterday, gracing the red carpet in a dazzling floor-length mirrored gown featuring daring cutouts along both sides. The sultry design was held together with oversized, black bows, adding a touch of drama to the elegant ensemble.

J.Lo, 55, was in the Canadian city for the premiere of her new film, Unstoppable. The event marks her first major public appearance since the announcement of her split on from husband Ben Affleck on August 20th.

Lopez's gown was from Australian fashion designer Tamara Ralph and the multi-hyphenate star completed the look with matching silver Dolce and Gabbana platform shoes and a mirrored Judith Leiber clutch. She wore her signature caramel hair blow dried straight down her back.

The star shared a picture from the premiere on her Instagram account, simply captioning it "Unstoppable," in reference to the film (but arguably, also a nod to her killer look). Social media users immediately lit up with reactions over the daring gown, with fans commenting that Lopez looked "absolutely stunning!" and "You look amazing and you’re truly glowing!" And that's not all—many commentators dubbed the appearance a masterclass in "revenge dressing," a reference to her break-up from Affleck.

Interestingly, Affleck is connected to the film as he shares a co-producer credit with Lopez under his and Matt Damon's production company Artists Equity. While Affleck did not make an appearance on the red carpet, Damon was in attendance alongside his wife Luciana Barroso.

Unstoppable tells the inspiring true story of wrestler Anthony Robles, a man who was born with one leg and went on to win an NCAA national championship in 2011 while competing for Arizona State University. Lopez plays Anthony's mother, Judy, in the film.

So far, the film has received rave reviews with Variety calling it a "rare sports crowd-pleaser you can believe in." We’re definitely looking forward to seeing the wrestling drama...and more gorgeous looks from J.Lo’s red carpet tour.
