Dearest readers, it’s officially time to refresh your memory ahead of Bridgerton season three

The highly anticipated third season of Bridgerton is set to premiere on May 16. (Four episodes will be released first, and the rest will debut on June 13.) In honor of the show’s return, Netflix dropped a Bridgerton season two recap video to remind viewers what happened last season.

The video begins with a voiceover from the one and only Lady Whistledown (Julie Andrews), saying, “Dearest gentle reader, did you miss me?” The clip goes on to recap season two, when Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) enters the dating circuit in an attempt to find a wife.

It doesn’t take long for Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) to introduce the viscount to a new debutante, Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran). The only problem? He must convince her sister, Kate (Simone Ashley), that he’s worthy of Edwina’s affection.

Before long, sparks are flying…but not between Edwina and Anthony. Instead, there is a palpable connection between Kate and Anthony, which only complicates his relationship with Edwina. Despite the love triangle, Anthony proceeds to pursue Edwina and even plans a wedding. Of course, it all goes awry when the secret fling between Anthony and Kate is revealed.

The video also teases other important story lines, like when Eloise (Claudia Jessie) tries—and succeeds—in finding out the identity of Lady Whistledown due to a printing inconsistency. The clip also introduces the plot for Bridgerton season three, which focuses on the relationship between Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan).

I’m already giddy with anticipation.
