Not all of us are meant to follow a spiritual path. We’re perfectly comfortable living “normal” lives: going to work, hauling our kids around to after school activities, and checking off life’s big milestones one by one. But others couldn’t imagine being stuck on the hamster wheel of life. These are the free spirits, the wild child types, the friend who’s always selling all her furniture and taking a cross country road trip “just for fun.” But what makes someone a seeker or healer type? Well, per usual, we think astrology has something to do with it. Here’s our picks for the seekers and healers of the zodiac.

We couldn’t make this list without Pisces: the ultimate free spirit of the zodiac. Pisces are our mutable water sign meaning that they’re always going with the flow. Having such a changeable nature leads Pisces down many non-traditional paths from artistic pursuits to esoteric studies to #vanlife. Pisces are also extremely empathetic to the point of being sponges for other people’s emotions which is why they often make healing their profession. If they’re going to take in so much energy from other people, they might as well get paid for it!

If there’s any sign in the zodiac that’s going to start a cult, it’s definitely Sagittarius. Who would you follow to the ends of the earth—your favorite yoga teacher? Or that tarot reader who blew your mind at your BFF’s Bachelorette? How about your former hair stylist who found her calling while driving up and down the California coast? We’re willing to bet that they’re all Sagittarians. Charismatic and magnetic, Sagittarius is always asking tons of questions and making sure to share their adventures and their findings with others. It might surprise you that practical Virgo makes our list of seekers and healers. But the mutable earth sign can be much more of a wild child than you’d expect. Sure, Virgos are often more concerned with facts than how something feels, but their obsession with details, history andsystems is why so many of them are naturally talented astrologers or alternative medicine practitioners. The healing arts are intense courses of study and Virgos are always ready to learn more.

Our fixed water sign is known for being intense, mysterious, and extremely protective of those that they love.
