The new year is around the corner, and I know what’s on your mind: New Year’s resolutions. Truthfully, I don’t know anyone who loves a resolution because inevitably, they end up falling off the wagon. (Only nine percent of people are actually successful in keeping theirs.) And I get it! Making resolutions is hard, commitment is strenuous and often we’re setting ourselves up for failure anyways. (Drastic change is always tough to surmount.) But what if having a New Year’s resolution could be…fun? Lighthearted? Good for you instead of a let down? Introducing my 2025 New Year’s resolution bingo card.

Here, you’ll find 25 different goals and activities to choose from that I hope will do things like push you out of your comfort zone, expand your social circle and get you offline and into the world. The best part is that I’ve kept things vague, so you can tailor the activities to your specific interests. For example, my three outdoor adventures will probably consist of driving the Pacific Coast Highway, walking through the redwood forest and strolling down the beach. You might be envisioning a backpacking trip through Asia, free solo rock climbing in Yosemite and white water rafting in the Grand Canyon. Totally different goals—but they all still qualify as outdoor adventures.

Some other things I’m excited about on this New Year’s resolution bingo card include trying a new social hobby and learning something new. I’ve been dying to get back into social dancing and actually be conversational in Italian. Other potential ways you can do this: Join a book club IRL, find a knitting circle, finally dive into that Masterclass membership or find a local pickleball league.

Ultimately, the whole point is to take care of yourself and live a holistic life. None of that stress-inducing, gotta lose X amount of pounds and do 30 minutes of meditation every morning stuff. Dream big, but don’t be afraid to start small. My personal recommendation? Try writing your gratitude list. I started doing this earlier in the year and have been pleasantly surprised by how much a simple act can add so much levity.

Here’s to a bright, hopeful new year filled with new people, places and things we love.
