They also have waxing if that is something that you'd like to take care of pre-pool sesh as well.

3. Upgrade Your Travel Gear

Whether you are jet setting this summer or staying close to home, it always feels nice to invest in some solid travel gear. We are seriously swooning over the new Canvas collection from Away. How could you not get excited about your next travel venture (even if it's just to a local hotel) when rocking this beautiful bag?

4. Book a Hotel

Dallas is buzzing about its latest and greatest hotel, and for good reason—it is truly exceptional. Hotel Swexan is a family-owned, 134-room boutique concept that is a little bit Swiss and a little bit Texan. And with five hospitality concepts, a private social club, and a rooftop pool, it is the perfect place to book a summer staycation. Anyone want to meet for cocktails at Léonie after a long day of reading by the picturesque pool? Because that seems to be the ultimate move.

5. Find a Favorite Sunscreen

Wow, we feel like our moms even typing this, however, if you are going to be out in the sun this summer in Texas, you need to have a good skin regimen LOCKED. Take a look at The Dallas Derm PA’s Instagram as she has been informing the people for a couple of years now on all the latest and greatest innovations in keeping your skin glowing. Need more than just sunscreen? Book a visit at Mindful Dermatology to talk to her in person. Our absolute favorite product we discovered through Alyssa is the Hydrating Glow Mist by Naked Sundays that lets you top off your sunscreen over your make-up. Genius.

6. Cook with Seasonal, Local Fruits and Veggies

Some of the most delicious Texas produce thrives in the Texas heat and can be delivered to your door for eating raw or cooking up in a variety of fun recipes. Our favorite way to get good produce without having to trek it over to the Dallas Farmers Market? Getting a FarmBox delivered weekly with the best in show. Think tomatoes, peaches, spaghetti squash and okra. You won’t regret this upgrade to your produce routine. It’s such a flex at weekly friends dinner al fresco or when cooking for neighbors and loved ones.

7. Attend an Outdoor Concert

One of the best things about living in a big city like Dallas is the clutch list of artists that make their way into town. And while it is true that Dallas seems hotter than the surface of the actual sun, it is a rite of passage to grab a cold beer and sit on a lawn and enjoy a show. One of our favorite date nights is the Cool Thursday Concert Series at the Dallas Arboretum, however, other big acts like Shania Twain, Post Malone, and Snoop Dog are making an appearance at Dos Equis Pavilion this summer. Go ahead and trust us and enjoy a concert on a blanket with your best buds.

8. Plan a Chic Sunset Picnic

Speaking of blankets, summer is the perfect time to plan a sunset picnic. Grab a picnic basket, a pretty tablecloth, and some delicious treats and head to your favorite outdoor spot. Some of our favorite treats can be picked up at Eatzi’s, Central Market, and Bird Bakery. Oh, and don’t forget to stop by Spec’s to grab your favorite bottle of bubbles. Favorite spots to catch a sunset in Dallas include Klyde Warren Park, banks of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and White Rock Lake.

Kaboom Town!

9. Go Big for the 4th of July

It’s easy to get FOMO when it seems like everyone is on the ‘Gram posting about enjoying an Aperol spritz on the Amalfi Coast or enjoying a dozen oysters at crew before fireworks by the ocean. Our suggestion? Log off social media and enjoy a good old-fashioned 4th of July at home. No matter which neighborhood you live in, there’s sure to be a local parade you can watch. Then, head to the grocery and buy some high-quality hot dogs and some potato chips. End the day with your fireworks show of choice. Our favorites include the Dallas Country Club show that can be seen from Highland Park Village, the Addison Kaboom Town Show and the downtown display.
