11 Tasty Vegetarian School Lunches If Turkey Isn’t Your Kid’s Thing
Whole Grain Pasta with Pesto, Mozzarella, Pine Nuts and Tomato

Guys. Turkey sandwiches are out this year. You know what's in? Mason jar pasta. Make the kids this healthy and filling pesto pasta loaded with tomato, mozzarella, pine nuts and cherry tomatoes, courtesy of nutritionist Daniela Neman. You may even want to make some extra for yourself.
Ingredients
1 cup cooked whole grain pasta (or 1/2 cup dry)
1 tablespoon olive oil
Handful of cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
2 tablespoons pesto sauce
1 stick whole milk or 2% string cheese, chopped into small pieces
Fresh basil, for finishing
Directions
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
2. Drain the pasta, add the pesto sauce, mozzarella, tomatoes and basil.
3. Spoon into mason jars and let your kid shake shake shake.
4. Top with fresh basil to taste, then seal the jars.
