We admit it. For years, we were scared of making a ham because it looked intimidating and really easy to mess up. But after trying this foolproof spicy orange-honey glazed ham, it’s now our go-to meal for holidays and parties. And did we mention the amazing sandwiches you can make with the leftovers?

Ingredients

4 garlic cloves, minced

½ cup honey

¼ cup brown sugar

½ cup whole-grain mustard

Zest of 1 orange

1 teaspoon red-pepper flakes

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

One 10- to 12-pound boneless ham

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk the garlic with the honey, brown sugar, mustard, orange zest, red-pepper flakes and black pepper to combine.

3. Place the ham on the prepared baking sheet and then pour the glaze over it. Bake the ham, basting it with the glaze every 15 minutes, until fully heated through, about 1 hour.

4. Serve sliced, either warm or cold.
