21 Mezcal Cocktails to Drink, Because the Spirit Is More Popular Than Ever
Mezcal Cider Spritz
Katherine Gillen
The Aperol spritz may be your summer drink of choice, but when the weather turns chilly and our sweaters come out of hibernation, we crave a cocktail that’s smokier and, frankly, stronger. Enter this recipe for the mezcal cider spritz. It’s a little boozy, a little tart and just festive enough to drink all fall and winter long.
Ingredients
2 ounces apple cider
1½ ounces mezcal
½ ounce lemon juice
Ice, as needed
Club soda, as needed
Apple slices and cinnamon sticks, to garnish (optional)
Directions
1. In a rocks glass, stir together the apple cider, mezcal and lemon juice. Add ice, then top with club soda. Garnish with apple slices and cinnamon sticks, if desired.
