Goat Cheese and Honey Bites
Forget the marinated olives and mixed nuts. Give the people what they actually want: goat cheese and honey bites. They’re cheesy, creamy, salty and crispy (and the best accompaniment for red vino).
Ingredients
2 sheets frozen puff pastry dough, thawed
One 4-ounce log goat cheese
Honey, for serving
Chopped fresh thyme, for serving
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Roll out the puff pastry a little to flatten it. Using a 2-inch circle cookie cutter (or the rim of a small glass), cut rounds from the dough. Transfer the pastry rounds to a parchment-lined baking sheet and then gently press your thumb into the center of each one.
2. Place 1 tablespoon goat cheese in the indentation of each round. Bake until the pastry is golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
3. Drizzle each piece with ½ teaspoon honey and garnish with thyme.
