frozen dirty shirley cocktail recipe

We’ll always look back fondly on the frosés and Aperol spritzes of years past…but it’s time to try this summer’s hottest cocktail, the Dirty Shirley—that’s a Shirley Temple spiked with vodka, for the uninitiated. To make it even more refresh (and nostalgic), we turned this trendy bev into a frozen slushie. It’s cute like its namesake…but be warned: It’s potent.

Ingredients

One 12-ounce can lemon-lime soda

2 ounces vodka

1 ounce grenadine

Maraschino cherry, to garnish

Directions

1. Pour the soda into ice cube trays and freeze until solid, at least 8 hours or overnight.

2. When the soda is frozen, place the ice cubes in a high-speed blender. Pour over the vodka, and blend until smooth.

3. Pour the grenadine into the bottom of a highball glass. Top with the slush and garnish with a cherry.
