everything chicken wings recipe
Mellissa Sevigny/Squeaky Clean Keto

We know it’s not called everything bagel seasoning because we want to put it on everything…but it might as well be, because that's exactly what we want to do with it. Naturally, these everything chicken wings (from Mellissa Sevigny’s cookbook Squeaky Clean Keto) are going on the top of our to-cook list. They’re low-carb, keto-friendly and baked instead of fried. Make a batch and give buffalo sauce a run for its money.

Ingredients

Everything Bagel Seasoning

2 tablespoons poppy seeds

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

1 tablespoon dried onion flakes

2 teaspoons coarse Himalayan pink salt

1 teaspoon dried minced garlic

Everything Chicken Wings

3 pounds chicken wings, trimmed and separated into wingettes and drumettes

3 tablespoons butter, melted

3 tablespoons Everything Bagel Seasoning

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

2. Make the Everything Bagel Seasoning: Put the poppy seeds, sesame seeds, onion flakes, salt and garlic in a small bowl and mix well. The seasoning can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 months

3. Make the Chicken Wings: Spread the chicken wing pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake until the wings are golden and crispy, 40 to 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and transfer the wings to a serving bowl.

4. Pour the melted butter over the wings, then stir or toss to coat the wings in the butter. Sprinkle the everything bagel seasoning over the wings and shake to coat them evenly.

Note: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. To reheat, heat 2 tablespoons of avocado oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the wings and cook until crisp and heated through, about 2 minutes per side.
