Pierogi-ish Hummus Dip
Ingredients
6 pieces bacon
1 onion, thinly sliced
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
¼ cup cheddar cheese, grated
Chopped fresh chives or scallions, to garnish
Sour cream and Sabra Classic Hummus, to serve
Directions
1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon until crisp, 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer the bacon to a paper-towel lined plate to cool slightly, then chop it into small pieces and set aside.
2. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the onion to the same pan. Cook until soft and golden, 18 to 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
3. To serve, spoon the Sabra Classic Hummus onto a serving plate, then top with the chopped bacon, caramelized onions, cheese and chives. Serve with sour cream and chips or crackers.
