Ah, the rice cereal treat. These sweet, crunchy, sticky little guys were one of our favorite childhood snacks. Since we love making classic desserts even better, we’re adding DOVE Dark Chocolate PROMISES to the mix. Topped with sprinkles, of course.

Ingredients

½ cup plus 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, at room temperature

24 ounces (1½ bags) jumbo marshmallows

½ teaspoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

10 cups crispy rice cereal

Sprinkles, as needed

Directions

1. Grease a 9-by-13-inch pan with 1 tablespoon of the butter. In a medium saucepan, combine the marshmallows and the remaining ½ cup butter. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until melted and well combined, about 10 minutes.

2. Stir in the salt and vanilla. Pour the cereal into a large bowl. Pour the marshmallow mixture over the cereal and mix well to combine.

3. Press the cereal mixture into the prepared pan in an even layer. Let set for 5 minutes.

4. Place the unwrapped chocolates in a heat-safe microwavable bowl. Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 15-second bursts, stirring frequently, until the chocolate is fully melted.

5. Cut the treats into 12 even squares. Dip each square into the melted chocolate and then set on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Garnish with sprinkles.

6. Refrigerate until firm, about 15 minutes.
