Zooey Deschanel Is the Latest Celebrity to Get Their Own Cooking Show

From Dan Levy (The Big Brunch) to Michelle Obama (Waffles + Mochi), it seems like every big name is getting their own cooking show these days. And for viewers who love these intimate looks into the kitchen, there's now another celebrity who is getting her own food-focused series: Zooey Deschanel.

The 42-year-old New Girl alum will be getting her own reality series at Discovery+ called What Am I Eating? with Zooey Deschanel.

As reported by Deadline, the logline for the reality series teases, “[Zooey's] out to solve the everyday food dilemmas people face while food shopping and will ask the tough questions about what Americans eat. Whether in the supermarket or our own kitchens, Zooey will explore common food mysteries, revealing the shocking truths behind manufactured food.”

While there is no official release date for the series, it is tentatively scheduled to be released in early 2023.

Deschanel shared the exciting news to her Instagram account (as seen above), where she posted a photo from the set of the show, and wrote, “I can't wait to help people reconnect with their food and answer some questions about what we eat during my new @discoveryplus series #WhatAmIEating streaming next year!”

This new series exploring our everyday foods was partly inspired by the web series, Your Food's Roots with Zooey Deschanel, which was produced by ATTN (the company that is producing this upcoming Deschanel series as well).

According to Deadline, when talking about the series, Deschanel said, “I’m very interested in the modern food supply chain and process and in finding solutions to improve it for everyone...I’m excited to learn more from chefs and culinary experts about the fuel we put into our bodies, and debunk some common food mysteries that are out there.”

We can't wait to stream it, Zooey.
