Zoë Kravitz Sang ‘No Scrubs’ as a Kid and the Video Just Resurfaced on ‘The Tonight Show’

Zoé Kravitz is having a big week, with the release of The Batman occurring on March 4 and her first Saturday Night Live hosting gig taking place the following Saturday. To mark these major events, Kravitz was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where Fallon showed her a video from her youth.

“This thing just kind of went around recently,” Fallon said, to which Kravitz replied, “Oh boy.” But Fallon laughed and said, “No, it's great! It's cute.”

The late night host showed a clip of Kravitz singing “No Scrubs” by TLC when she was only 7 years old, and Kravitz explained the background of the video to Fallon. “My dad, I think, was doing an interview for VH1,” she said. “And I think he went to the bathroom and then I was like, ‘It's my turn!’” She laughed and joked that the VH1 producers were probably like, “Who is this child?”

Their conversation occurs around the 1:30 mark, and it's followed by actual footage of a young Kravitz putting on her best performance.

In the clip, the Big Little Lies star looks like Cinderella as she's dressed in a blue dress and a sparkly silver tiara. She smiles as she sings the lyrics from the chorus of the popular ’90s R&B song, and once she finishes, she looks around and asks, “Am I on TV?”

After watching the vintage video, Kravitz and Fallon couldn't stop laughing. The Batman actress said, “Why am I wearing a tiara?” To which Fallon simply replied, “Because you're just the cutest kid ever.”

We would love to see grown-up Kravitz do a cover of this song.
