‘GMA’ Correspondent Who Forgot to Wear Pants on TV Responds to ‘Mortifying’ Appearance

Thanks to the growing number of work video calls, we’ve pretty much mastered the art of dressing professionally…from the waist up. Unfortunately, this idea backfired for reporter Will Reeve, who recently appeared on Good Morning America wearing no pants.

You see, Reeve didn’t realize that his camera was zoomed out enough to show his entire body, so he readied his top half, thinking his legs would be cut from the frame. Total amateur mistake.

It would be one thing if Reeve were wearing sweatpants or—dare we say—pajama bottoms, but no. The reporter was sporting a very revealing pair of boxers that quickly went viral. Shortly after the incident, Reeve addressed the “embarrassing” encounter during another GMA appearance. And yes, he wore pants this time.

“I’m just here in my home, setup for another day of work like millions of Americans who are on video calls all the time now,” Reeve said. “And a headline reminder for anyone who’s using Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, anything with a camera: Make sure you frame your shot.”

Reeve also confirmed that the mishap was not intentional, adding, “On a personal note, I just want to say I try to take life seriously but not myself. So, I’ve had a good laugh at this, but I don’t want anyone to think that I don’t respect and love my job. I’ve had a lot of fun and I know everyone else has, too. And I’m a lousy camera operator.”

The good news is Reeve is being a good sport about the whole thing. He even shared a photo with his Twitter followers and wrote, “I have ARRIVED* *in the most hilariously mortifying way possible.”
