After all the behind-the-scenes pics and exciting cast announcements, fans are finally getting a chance to see Wicked movie stars Ariana Grande, 29, and Cynthia Erivo, 36, dressed in character in newly-shared first glimpse photos.

This past Sunday, the official Wicked movie Instagram account shared a first-look photo of Erivo channeling her character, Elphaba the Wicked Witch of the West, by wearing the iconic black dress and pointy top hat with a brown broomstick in hand.

Although the actress is facing away from the camera, we were able to see a small glimpse of her green face and long black hair. As for the caption, there’s only a green heart emoji.

But, there was another surprise reveal in store. The Instagram page also shared a first-glimpse photo of Grande, who will play Glinda the Good Witch in the upcoming film. In the new pic, the “Thank U Next” singer is walking up a flight of stairs while wearing a beautiful pink ball gown.

And from a distance, we can see her hair is blonde and it’s pulled back into a curly ponytail. In the caption for her photo, there is a pink heart emoji surrounded by yellow twinkling stars.

This latest update comes a few weeks after Grande and Erivo shared teaser photos of their own taken right on the Wicked set. The first photo shared in the slideshow (posted on both of their accounts) shows the two stars holding hands while on set. The caption read, “Up to (no) good,” alongside a broom and bubbles emoji.

Be sure to mark your calendars, Wicked fans: The first part of the movie premieres in theaters everywhere on November 27, 2024.
