Vanessa Hudgens just dropped a major bombshell at the 2024 Academy Awards: She’s pregnant with her first child.
Today, the 35-year-old actress walked the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the 96th annual Oscars. Hudgens surprised fans by debuting a growing baby bump, which was visible thanks to her fitted dress by Vera Wang Couture.
Hudgens showed off her pregnant belly while co-hosting ABC’s Countdown to Oscars: On the Red Carpet Live! She wore a black floor-length gown, which featured a high neckline and long sleeves.
She accessorized with jewels from Chopard, including a 18k white gold necklace with a 10+ carat yellow diamond. Her earrings and rings were from the Haute Joaillerie Collection and totaled around 30 carats in diamonds. (NBD.)
The pregnancy announcement comes about three months after Hudgens and her husband, Cole Tucker, tied the knot in Tulum, Mexico.
“The planning process was definitely overwhelming,” Hudgens told Vogue. “I knew I’d never been to a wedding that I’ve wanted my own wedding to be like, so I had to think out of the box. Finding a venue was the hardest part. I knew I didn’t want to do it at a beach, at a ballroom, or at a barn—these were all things I didn’t want. Instead, I wanted to be surrounded by nature, greenery and foliage.”
For those who may not know, Tucker is a professional baseball player, who plays shortstop and outfielder for the Seattle Mariners. He has been a part of the MLB since since 2019 and has also played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Colorado Rockies.
