Usher Raymond is treating fans to a first look at his newborn daughter, Sovereign Bo.
The 42-year-old singer shared a photo of his baby on Instagram and revealed that she came earlier than expected. In the caption, he wrote, "Happy 11:11 Sovereign...today was the day I thought you would arrive. You had a different plan... #Babyknowsbest #Godsplan."
The "U Remind Me" singer continued, "'Life happens when you’re making other plans.' Is the present a gift or is the present the day? Live every moment. I love what we have, and what [we] made @boogsneffect Te amo mucho."
In the pic, we see a close-up of Usher kissing his sleeping daughter, who looks rather cozy in her furry lavender blanket. But this isn't the only pic that fans got to see of Sovereign. Her mother and Usher's girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea, also shared a snap of the baby—except she took a much more creative approach.
In the pic, Sovereign sports a mini white robe with matching slippers and a hair towel. She's seated on a small, leopard-print chair with a tiny MacBook on her lap, and right beside her is a stack of small books. Goicoechea wrote, "Sovë helping me with album credits [laughter emojis]." In response, one commenter joked, "I’m just tryna be like her when I grow up." Honestly, same.
Usher and Goicoechea welcomed their daughter in September, but when Usher appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he explained, “She was scheduled to be a Scorpio but decided she had a different plan. Libras, you know, they kinda have their minds made up what they wanna do."
He continued, "It's funny, because the umbilical cord was wrapped around her wrists. So, she's pulling the thing, like, 'Pull me outta here, it's time to go!'"
Now that she's here, we look forward to seeing some more daddy-daughter moments!
