Usher & His Girlfriend Welcomed Their First Child Together (and We’ve Got a Pic & a Name)

Along with a sweet photo of his daughter's hand holding his finger, Usher wrote, "We are feeling blessed and full of love with the arrival of our beautiful baby girl, Sovereign Bo Raymond. 'Isn’t She Lovely' by Stevie Wonder on repeat [heart emojis]."

Stars flooded the comments section with their congratulations, including Justin Timberlake, who recently welcomed his second child with Jessica Biel. Usher's pal and former collaborator, Alicia Keys, also wrote, "Congratulations brother!!!!!!!"

The great news comes only a month after the Grammy winner publicly confirmed Goicoechea’s pregnancy. While on Good Morning America, he expressed that his two sons, Usher Cinco, 12, and Naviyd, 11, were eager to welcome their little sibling. "[They’re] elated and excited," he explained. "Babies always bring such joy to a family. Really excited for my young one—well, my bean’s arrival."

During his appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, he also said, "Its been a tough time for everybody, so I'm really excited to have this incredible news. This new arrival. I'm really anticipating it."

In the interview, Usher shared that he was still contemplating a name before he chose Sovereign. He joked, "I’m not like George Foreman. I can’t name all my kids George. If it’s a girl, I don’t think that Usher will flow well. To be perfectly honest, I’m trying to figure out which way to go."

While the musician shares his two sons with his former wife, Tameka Foster, this is Usher's first child with Goicoechea. Aside from welcoming baby number three, the singer is also celebrating his new Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, which will start in July of 2021.
