Tyra Banks Had a Wardrobe Malfunction on ‘DWTS’ that (Almost) Went Unnoticed

If you watch Dancing with the Stars, you’re probably well aware that Tyra Banks undergoes several outfit changes in one single episode. However, the 46-year-old host revealed that things don’t always go as planned.

Banks recently sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight, where she discussed a wardrobe malfunction that (maybe) went unnoticed. It all started when she didn’t have time to zip her dress before the live show returned from commercial break, forcing Banks to get creative.

“I think it was the third or fourth episode, I walk out and my hand is on my back and I was holding my dress together,” she said. “It was not zipped up! And I did not have on any of my jewelry.”

Banks confirmed that she solved the situation in the nick of time, adding, “Then, you’ll notice, a couple of acts later my hand is down, I’m zipped up and I have on jewelry.” TV magic, ladies and gents.

This isn’t the first time Banks has experienced a wardrobe malfunction during her new gig as host of DWTS. During the season 29 premiere, the America’s Next Top Model alum lost an earring and handled it like a total pro. “And I promised everybody that I’m going to keep it real real,” she said, referring to the accessory in her hand. “This earring, I might pass it to you, Carrie Ann [Inaba].”

Hey, at least the dress zipped eventually. Dancing with the Stars airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
