Travis Kelce Uses the Same Nickname for Taylor Swift That Her Former Boyfriend Taylor Lautner Uses for His Wife

Taylor Swift, 33, and Travis Kelce, 34, seem to be getting more serious by the day, what with their major displays of affection and their joint SNL appearances. Now, on a new episode of the New Heights podcast, the NFL tight end subtly revealed that he's already got a nickname for his other half, and we couldn't help but notice that it's the same nickname Swift's ex-boyfriend, Taylor Lautner, uses for his wife.

It all started this past Sunday, November 26, when a post was shared to the official Kansas City Chiefs’ Instagram account celebrating a new milestone for Kelce. Among the hundreds of thousands of likes, Miss Americana was one of them, and Swifties were quick to notice.

Apparently Kelce noticed too, and when he recorded the latest episode of New Heights with his brother, Jason, he ended up thanking Swift, revealing her nickname in the process. “Thanks, Tay. I appreciate you on the Chiefs page supporting,” he said.

When we heard Kelce divulge this nickname, we couldn't help but think about Swift's ex-boyfriend, Taylor Lautner, who uses the same pet name for his wife, Taylor “Tay” Dome. (We're dealing with so many Taylors here it's starting to look like the “Look What You Made Me Do” music video.)

During a visit to The Kelly Clarkson Show, Lautner discussed the difficulty of sharing a first and last name with his wife, revealing that their friends differentiate between them by calling him “Taylor” and his fiancée “Tay.”

It seems Swift's former paramour and her current one are thinking in the same way, and we wonder if this will lead to any confusing hangouts, given that Swift has remained close with Lautner and his wife (the couple even made a surprise appearance at one of her Eras Tour concerts back in July, after making cameos in her “I Can See You” music video).
