It's no wonder Tracee Ellis Ross, 50, became the Emmy-nominated, highly-esteemed comedy actress that she is today, because she's been accustomed to the spotlight since she was in diapers.
Ross’s sister, Chudney, 47, just found a throwback that featured her and Tracee from when they were very small kids (around 1 and 3 years old, to be exact), and she shared the photo to Instagram. In the snap, the two youngsters are seen joining their mom, Diana, 79, on stage at a concert.
Chudney shared the vintage pic to her IG Story, writing: “Baby me spotted on the internet.” She also tagged her mom and her sister underneath the photo.
Tracee then shared the snap to her own Story, adding a note that said, “And look at my cute outfit and that bun on my head.”
This photo was taken from the opening night of An Evening with Diana Ross, a show which took place at the Palace Theatre in New York City from June to July of 1976. There are also photos of Diana backstage from that night, where she's seen talking with her three daughters, Tracee, Chudney and Rhonda.
Diana was romantically involved with Motown CEO Berry Gordy for several years, who is the biological father of Rhonda, 52. However, before she gave birth to her eldest, Diana married music executive Robert Ellis Silberstein, who would end up raising Rhonda as his own and becoming the father to Tracee and Chudney. Diana and Robert divorced in 1977, only a year after the aforementioned concert took place.
Later, Diana married shipping magnate Arne Næss Jr. and they had two sons together, Ross, 36, and Evan, 35.
While Diana’s kids were joining her on stage at an early age, we've seen other clips that showed off their comfortability in front of an audience. For instance, Tracee and her sisters were all featured in an episode of Sesame Street back in the early ’80s (and Tracee is only ten years old in the clip).
We don't know where Chudney found this throwback, but we sure hope she has more to share.
