There’s no denying that being a pregnant Hollywood actress can cause a few bumps (get it?) in the road when it comes to filming TV and movies. And for Mandy Moore, breaking the news to her This Is Us production team was apparently pretty nerve-wracking.
In fact, Moore was so nervous to tell creator Dan Fogleman that she did so before telling the big news to those closest to her. “I did tell Dan before I told like most of my family,” she told E! News. “Just because I wanted him to know, you know, in preparation for writing the season what to sort of expect and, oddly, I was nervous."
Turns out, there was (unsurprisingly) nothing to be worried about because the NBC executive was “just happy” for the 36-year-old actress. Fogelman revealed to the outlet that the team hasn't "adjusted" their plans for This is Us because of her baby news. “We're just gonna work right 'til go time,” he stated. “Amongst the many challenges of this season in production, that's not a big one. We are so far ahead in the script that we can compensate for things as need be.”
He continued, “Because our timelines are so split and because we live in so many timelines, there may be a brief period and window where you don’t see a lot of old Rebecca on the show because she would have some really complicated explaining to do. But other than that, we’re going to be sticking with the plan and we couldn’t be happier for Mandy.”
ICYMI: The singer revealed that she’s expecting her first child with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, on her personal Instagram account in September and shared a slideshow of photos featuring her growing baby bump. She also announced that the couple was expecting a baby boy.
Sounds like everything is working out just fine for Mandy and Rebecca.
