This is not a drill

The Voice is getting not one, but two brand-new coaches for season 26.

Today, NBC announced that Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé are joining The Voice season 26, which will be hosted by Carson Daly. They will serve as coaches alongside Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani.

This will be the first coaching experience for both Snoop and Bublé, but it’s not their first time appearing on the show. Back in season three, Bublé was an advisor to Team Blake [Shelton]. Then, in season 20, Snoop was a mega mentor for the contestants

Despite their previous appearances, they will be going up against two experienced coaches. Not only is McEntire entering her third season as a coach, but this will also be Stefani’s eighth time holding the position.

Snoop and Bublé will follow in the footsteps of the season 25 coaches, which included McEntire, John Legend, Chance The Rapper and Dan+ Shay (aka Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney).

According to Deadline, Snoop reacted to the announcement and revealed that he hopes his swag will complement McEntire’s status as “queen” of The Voice. “I can be the king that brings the style, the funk, the fun,” he said.

NBC hasn’t announced a premiere date for The Voice season 26, but it is expected to debut this fall. The new episodes will be released on NBC, followed by a next-day premiere on Peacock.

I’m feeling good about these new additions.
