Mindy Kaling Fans Are Losing it Over Her New HBO Max Show: ‘I Want More Already’

For those of us who love the work of Mindy Kaling and can't believe we have to wait a year for the next season of Never Have I Ever, there's now a reason to celebrate.

Kaling has created a new series, called The Sex Lives of College Girls, which is set to premiere on HBO Max later this fall. Up until now, little information had been released about the show, but Kaling has offered us the first teaser for the series.

“Early mornings are not it,” she said in the caption of the clip, along with a weary face emoji. “Get ready for @thesexlivesofcollegegirls! Streaming November 18, only on @hbomax.”

In the clip, we see the show's four leading ladies—Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Reneé Rapp and Alyah Chanelle Scott—each hungover in bed while a phone alarm rings, and they are all trying to get one another to go shut it off. As the four are shown lying in bed with pillows over their heads, the scene is interspersed with flashbacks from the night before, where we see glitter shots, grinding on statues and so much more.

“I think I'm still drunk,” Chalamet says as the phone continues buzzing (and if that name looks familiar, it's because she is the older sister of actor Timothée Chalamet). “If I stand, I will die,” Rapp adds.

In the official writeup from HBO Max, they say, “The Sex Lives of College Girls follows four college roommates as they arrive at New England’s prestigious Essex College. A bundle of contradictions and hormones, these girls are equal parts lovable and infuriating as they live out their new, free lives on campus.”

While this video is only the first taste we've gotten of Kaling's new series, fans couldn't contain their excitement in the comments. One user said, “I love your work Mindy so I’m so excited for another amazing show!” Another commented, “Mindy, you are killing it. No doubt, another hit! Congratulations sis!” We have to agree with one user who said, “This teaser!!!!! I want more already!!!”

We'll be counting down the days until November 18.
