Taylor Swift Has Wardrobe Malfunction While Performing Onstage at Eras Tour and Handles It Like a Total Pro

Taylor Swift may be a talented performer, but she’s also a total pro when it comes to handling a major wardrobe malfunction while onstage. 

In a video shared by a fan on TikTok, the “Blank Space” singer, 34, stops mid-performance to handle a technical issue. As she struggles with the sound device on her dress, which apparently came “undone,” Swift proceeds to walk over to the piano onstage. “Talk amongst yourselves,” she tells her fans in the crowd, who came to see the Grammy-award-winning artist perform on the third night of her Eras Tour stop in Stockholm, Sweden, on May 19.

In an attempt to fix the sound device, Swift undoes her blue wrap dress, revealing a sparkly black-and-gold outfit (which she wears during the new Tortured Poets Department segment of the concert) underneath. In a matter of seconds, a crew member comes onstage to assist her. And just like that, Swift continues the performance.

Naturally, fans praised the singer for handling the wardrobe malfunction professionally. One person wrote in the comments section, “She handles it like a pro [heart emoji].” Another commenter said, “She did it with grace! Amazing!”

Before heading back on tour, Swift also released her eleventh studio album, Tortured Poets Department. Back in April, the “Cardigan” singer revealed to Variety that one of her new songs, “Florida!!!” (which is featured on the album), was inspired by her “always watching Dateline.”

“People have these crimes that they commit; where do they immediately skip town and go to? They go to Florida,” Swift explained. “They try to reinvent themselves, have a new identity, blend in. I think when you go through a heartbreak, there’s a part of you that thinks, ‘I want a new name. I want a new life. I don’t want anyone to know where I’ve been or know me at all.’ And so that was the jumping-off point.”
