Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is still going strong after more than a year and a half of performances. It’s the highest-grossing tour of all time, and getting a seat at one of the shows is arguably more difficult than scoring a visit to the Wonka factory (remember the Ticketmaster fiasco?). For all the iconic shows she’s had, her latest performance in Miami had an unintentional highlight: a wardrobe malfunction.
Taylor Swift’s Backup Dancer Saves Her from Onstage Wardrobe Malfunction as Wedding Gown-Like Dress Pops Open
Tortured poet indeed
According to a concert review in the Miami Herald, the back of Swift’s dress appeared to pop open during the start of ‘But Daddy I Love Him.’ Luckily, one of Swift’s backup dancers adjusted the piece for her to avoid disaster. The song is part of her U.S. debut of “The Tortured Poets Department” segment.
The dress is a custom, wedding-like gown by Vivienne Westwood, adorned with lyrics from the album. The sleeveless couture number is vibrant white with a corseted bodice and a long peekaboo skirt. It’s made from recycled taffeta, and she wears it with a black bodysuit, black choker and white booties by Christian Louboutin.
Swift’s other outfits for the tour include a Versace bodysuit and studded boots for the Lover segment, a flowing, ruffled dress by Alberta Ferretti for Folklore and a Fearless-inspired fringe dress, embellished with Swarovski crystals and custom-made by Roberto Cavalli.
If you ask me, her everyday outfits are just as iconic. My girl loves a corset top (and red gingham).
