From the Eras Tour to her new beau, Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift has been dominating headlines as of late. So, it’s no surprise the 33-year-old singer is now being praised for all her success.

Today, Swift was named Time magazine’s Person of the Year for 2023. The mag's editor-in-chief Sam Jacobs announced the exciting news during this morning’s episode of NBC’s Today.

After the news broke, Time shared an interview from the Person of the Year issue, where Swift reacted to the highly coveted title.

“It feels like the breakthrough moment of my career, happening at 33…And for the first time in my life, I was mentally tough enough to take what comes with that,” she said. “This is the proudest and happiest I’ve ever felt, and the most creatively fulfilled and free I’ve ever been.”

Swift also shared never-before-heard details about her relationship with Kelce, which started way before she attended the Chiefs game. “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she added. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”

Swift continued, “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

We can’t wait to see what’s in store for Swift—both professionally and personally.
