Kate Middleton and Prince William’s go-to parenting move has been used by countless members of the royal family. Everyone from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Duchess Sophie has copied the royal couple while interacting with children. And now, Taylor Swift is hopping on the bandwagon.

Last week, Swift surprised the patients at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. The singer posed for photos, chatted with the families and even used Princess Catherine's go-to parenting move when interacting with the kids.

Most of the kids Swift encountered were laying in hospital beds. Instead of towering over them, she bent down to meet their eye-level. The parenting move allows adults to speak on an equal playing field and establish more eye contact, which creates a more comfortable environment for the children.

It has been used by Princess Catherine on several occasions, both with her own kids and with people she meets in public. However, the Princess of Wales is a parent to three children—Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6—and Swift hasn’t ventured into motherhood (at least not yet). Still, she has used the move in the past.

Perhaps the musician is more ready for parenthood than she even realizes. Or maybe she’s so used to interacting with young fans, it’s become second nature. Her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, previously joked about having kids during an episode of Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?

“Is that what happens when you have kids? You get smarter?” he said. “Man, that’s all I had to do to become brilliant?”

Swift hasn’t weighed in on the subject, but she’s getting some good practice in the meantime.
