Taylor Swift Shocks Fans with Surprise Double Album—Including Song About Travis Kelce

Not only did Taylor Swift drop her highly anticipated eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, just hours ago, but the 34-year-old singer also surprised Swifties with a second album (yes, you heard me right) titled Anthology—which features a song about her current boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

In track 22 (titled “So High School”), Swift compares Kelce to a high school jock because he is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, after all. “You know how to ball, I know Aristotle, brand new, full throttle,” the musician sings. “Touch me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto. It’s true, swear, scouts honor. You knew what you wanted, and, boy, you got her.”

She continues, “Are you gonna marry, kiss or kill me? Kill me. It’s just a game, but really, really, I’m betting on all three for us two.” 

According to USA Today, this line references a clip that has since resurfaced on the internet, where Kelce was asked this question while appearing on The Messenger. In the vid, the 34-year-old athlete said that he would marry Katy Perry and kiss Taylor Swift, leaving Ariana Grande out of the equation. 

Swift and Kelce have been dating since September 2023. The “Cardigan” singer has notably attended a number of his football games, including the 2024 Super Bowl, where she watched the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the San Francisco 49ers. 

Last year, Swift sat down with Time magazine (where she was named Person of the Year) and shared how her relationship with the professional football player started. “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she told the publication. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for because we got to get to know each other.”
