She captioned a photo of herself looking like an IRL Cinderella in a Stella McCartney gown, “AHHHHH @thefavouritemoviejust won 7 @bafta awards !!! Bout to go give some high fives—thanks @stellamccartneyfor this dressss.” The dress! The Hair! The little smile! It’s T-Swift living her best supportive girlfriend life.
Alwyn, of course, played opposite Emma Stone, Olivia Colman and Rachel Weiss in the award-winning film from director Yorgos Lanthimos. But major brownie points in the relationship department wasn’t the only highlight of Swift’s evening. Prince William and Kate Middleton were also in attendance at the BAFTAs, and it really doesn’t get any better than that, amirite?
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stepped out for a royal date night in a tux and one-shoulder white gown with floral detailing, respectively. And, as patron of the BAFTAs, Prince William also presented the Fellowship award to film editor Thelma Schoonmaker. TBD whether they chatted with Swift over some martinis, though.
But Swift’s bae wasn’t the only one being acknowledged tonight. The singer was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album for Reputation at the Grammys, though it was Ariana Grande who ultimately received the award.
Better luck next year, Taylor. In the meantime, enjoy your time with the future king and queen consort…and Alwyn.
