Perhaps best known as the go-to boot brand for both supermodels and royal trendsetters alike, Stuart Weitzman now has a new shoe style for the masses (celebrity or not) to fall in love with: sneakers. And not just any sneakers, but customizable ones you can mix and match to create a look that's entirely your own.
The sporty “Daryl” style is available in 13 different colors (two metallic leathers, ten colorful suedes, including a cheetah print, and one crisp white leather), all embossed with the phrase "Limited Edition" lest your friends and family ever forget what a fashion maven you are. There are also ten unique shoelace options created specifically for Stuart Weitzman by the luxury shoelace brand (yes, that's a real thing) Aglit Italy.
For those local to New York City, Stuart Weitzman is also hosting a weekend-long “Daryl” takeover at its SoHo store on Spring Street. From Friday August 16 through Sunday August 18 the boutique will become the ultimate custom sneaker destination, with a group of female artists on hand to draw, sketch and doodle on your sneakers for an extra special personal touch. There will also be a Van Leeuwen ice cream truck on hand serving up 13 flavors inspired by the new style's 13 color options. (Any guesses what flavor silver metallic ice cream might be?)
Personally, we're pretty big fans of the cranberry suede and white and watermelon printed silk lace combination, but of course you can never go wrong with a good old-fashioned gold-on-gold look. As for which styles the duchesses Cambridge and Sussex might choose? We're placing bets on classic white leather with light denim laces for Middleton and glittering rose gold for Markle. We'll just have to wait and see.
