From the surprise Suits reunion at the Golden Globes to the Grey’s Anatomy cast cameo at the Emmys Awards, 2024 has given us loads of iconic cast reunions. And now, we can add another one to the list, thanks to the 2024 SAG Awards.

This past weekend, Sofía Vergara and her Modern Family castmates Ed O'Neill, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet reunited to present the award for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series, which went to the stars of The Bear.

While onstage, Burrell asked his former cast members if they missed working together on the comedy series, to which Bowen responded, “250 episodes, it never happens!”

Then, O’Neill chimed in and said, “Happened twice to me,” which made the audience laugh. (FYI, the 77-year-old actor was referencing his role in the FOX sitcom Married... with Children, which ran for 11 seasons).

Meanwhile, Vergara took a moment to talk about her Netflix series Griselda. As it turns out, Stonestreet and Ferguson placed a bet on how long it would take Vergara to mention the success of the drama miniseries, where the actress plays the infamous drug boss Griselda Blanco. “Pay up, I told you she'd mention it in the first ten seconds,” Stonestreet said.

Ferguson jokingly teased a revival of Modern Family. “Is it too early to talk about a reboot?” he asked the crowd. The Missoula-born actor also joked about how attending the SAG Awards caused him to “park a mile away from here.”

Later on that night, Vergara posted a video of the Modern Family cast having dinner on her personal Instagram page. The camera pans to show the former castmates enjoying a nice meal together. “It’s so bright!” Burrell says while trying to shield his eyes from the camera flash.

As for the caption, Vergara posted a slew of red heart emojis.

Created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan, Modern Family follows three diverse families living in suburban Los Angeles. The long-running comedy series went on for 11 seasons, airing its last episode in April 2020.

So, about that Modern Family reboot…
