Sofía Vergara Pays Tribute to Her ‘Modern Family’ Character Gloria Pritchett in New IG Post

Sofía Vergara is showing love to her iconic Modern Family character on social media.

Yesterday, the 49-year-old actress posted a video montage dedicated to her character on the show, Gloria Pritchett. For eleven seasons, Vergara played the outspoken, fun-loving Colombian mother of two and the wife of loving husband, Jay Pritchett (played by Ed Leonard O'Neill).

The video starts with Gloria yelling about how all men are “animals.” She proceeds to storm out of the room and her husband greets her at the door. “Hey honey,” he says. Naturally, Gloria responds by calling him an animal. Jay stands in the doorway stunned, unaware of what just happened.

While the song “Love Me Harder” by Ariana Grande and The Weeknd plays in the background, the video showcases different moments featuring Gloria throughout the show’s run. Vergara wrote a special message to Gloria in the video caption, writing, “I miss u #gloriapritchett,” and proceeded to tag the official Modern Family Instagram account.

Fans loved the Gloria appreciation post on Instagram. “Gloria is my favorite forever [heart emoji],” one fan wrote in the comments section. Another chimed in and said, “GLORIA PRITCHETT WAS THE MOMENT.”

Although the long-running comedy series ended in April 2020, the America’s Got Talent judge loves reliving her time on the show. Back in October, Vergara shared rare behind-the-scenes photos from the Halloween episode, titled “Good Grief.” Her character was dressed up as Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe.

The photos showed the actress having a little bit of fun with her former co-stars Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Julie Bowen. Vergara captioned the post, “Halloween!!! #tb Modern Fam,” and posted a pumpkin, ghost and skull emoji.

Keep the Modern Family throwbacks coming, Sofía.
