Simone Biles, 26, has been making her triumphant return to gymnastics, and there's no one more excited than her hubby, Jonathan Owens, 28.
This past week, the Olympic champion jetted off to Belgium, where she competed in the 2023 Artistic World Gymnastics Championships. She commemorated the trip with an Instagram post, which she captioned: “Touch down in Belgium [Belgian flag emoji] [yellow heart emoji]. Ready to do some cartwheels or something.”
In the slideshow, Biles included selfies from her hotel, shots of flowers from the street and more. But it was the comments section that really caught our attention.
Owens left a very supportive reply, which read, “I can’t wait to watch you back out there [heart eyes emoji].”
The comment received over 700 likes and one follower wrote, “@jowens awwww supportive hubby on deck!! Y’all are the cutest.”
Biles and her NFL-playing husband are always quite supportive of each other when it comes to their respective sports.
Just this past September, the gold medalist made a trip to Chicago, where she went to watch Owens (who is a strong safety for the Green Bay Packers) play against the Chicago Bears. And Biles seemingly acted as a good luck charm, because the Packers won 38–20.
This support certainly goes both ways. When Biles competed in the Olympics back in 2021, she received all sorts of loving posts from her partner on social media.
Biles made her highly-anticipated gymnastics return this past August, when she competed in the Core Hydration U.S. Classic, her first gymnastics event in two years. While there, she casually won gold medals for vault, floor and balance beam.
