When anyone has a baby (especially celebs or royals), people are quick to offer up advice. Yes, even if it’s unwarranted. But that’s not the case for Serena Williams. At least, not when it comes to her BFF Meghan Markle following the birth of son Archie Harrison.
In a recent interview, the tennis star told BBC Breakfast that she’s holding off on giving the Duchess of Sussex any parenting advice for now.
“I never pass on words of wisdom because I feel like everyone, when they have a kid, especially when you just have a baby, it is so difficult to just be,” said Williams. “And it’s just like, get through the first three months, four months, and then we can talk.”
When talking about her own experience (Williams welcomed her first child, Alexis Olympia, more than a year ago with husband Alexis Ohanian), the 37-year-old admitted she herself hasn’t quite mastered parenting yet.
