The liquid leather-looking skirt hugged Williams’s curves and served as a spiced up neutral for her polished ensemble. She paired the pencil skirt with a nude tank top similar to the Wacoal Beyond Naked tank ($30) and matching strappy stilettos that appeared (similar to Tamara Mellon’s Frontline heel in honey Napa, $395). She accessorized the chic look with layered gold statement necklaces, a gold bangle and her massive engagement ring.
But the golden girl vibes didn’t stop there. Williams also debuted a brand-new honey ombré hair color and wore her locks in loose beachy waves.
In addition to her fashion victory of the evening, Williams enjoyed another win. The 23-time Grand Slam winner was on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Fashion 50 issue.
In an interview with the mag she explained her relationship with style, saying, “My whole career has been really about tennis and fashion. I always try to make a statement when I walk out on the court—to be bold and to be unique and to kind of transcend. I always try to send the message of just being confident and being fierce.”
Although she didn’t take home first place at Wimbledon, we have to say, Williams was definitely the champion of last night’s red carpet.
