Serena Williams Documents Family Disney Trip on Instagram (& I Noticed Something Interesting About the Second Photo)

It’s no secret that Serena Williams is a busy woman. When she isn’t taking care of her two daughters, she’s probably hitting the red carpet in a showstopping outfit. Despite her tight schedule, the 43-year-old athlete still finds a way to spend time with her family (even if it means double tasking at Disneyland).

This week, Williams posted a slideshow of photos on her personal Instagram account, featuring never-before-seen pictures from her family’s trip to Disneyland. I could spend hours talking about the uncanny resemblance between the tennis player and her sister, Venus, but it was the second pic that caught my attention.

I immediately noticed that Williams broke a cardinal rule when it comes to theme parks: she was on her phone in the middle of an attraction. In the second photo, the athlete is sitting next to her husband, Alexis Ohanian, and staring at her phone, which is connected to a pair of wired headphones. 

Perhaps she was tending to an emergency. Or maybe the song “It’s a Small World” drives her mad. Regardless, she would’ve been more discreet with AirPods. 

The caption read, “There’s nothing like a quick family trip to @disneyparks. There no place like Disney.”

Fans and followers filled the comments section with positive messages. One person wrote, “Oh nothing, just two world tennis legends and their families kickin it at Disney. No big deal.” Another added, “Venus looks like a damn teenager! Omg I didn’t even recognize her.”
