Scarlett Johansson just gave us a first glimpse at her brand-new engagement ring, and all we have to say is: Colin Jost deserves a standing ovation.
Over the weekend, the Avengers star, 32, attended Comic-Con 2019 in San Diego, California, where she debuted a massive new accessory on that finger. From the size to the hefty price tag, here’s everything we know about Johansson’s sparkler.
Johansson’s ring is a pear-shaped yellow/light brown diamond. The gem is attached to a black band and that unusual combination creates a vivid contrast.
While the dark band makes the diamond look bigger, the jewel can stand on its own. In fact, The Adventurine estimates the gem is a whopping 11 carats. (NBD.)
The designer is still unknown, but many believe it’s the handiwork of James de Givenchy (Hubert de Givenchy’s nephew).
According to Alicia Davis—the vice president of merchandise for Shane Co. jewelers—the ring wasn’t cheap. “We can estimate a ring like this to be priced over $400,000,” she told Page Six.
